New Student Registration https://registration.powerschool.com/family/gosnap.aspx?action=35726&culture=en

Malad Elementary School is a small community school located in Malad City, Idaho. We have three classes per grade and a little over 400 students in grades K-5. At Malad Elementary we focus on serving all students.  It is our goal to provide a comprehensive educational experience that allows every student to excel.

As a school we are learning 8 habits that will help us become Dragon Leaders.

Be Proactive * Begin with the End in Mind * Put First Things First * Think Win- Win * Seek First to Understand, Then be Understood * Synergize * Sharpen the Saw * Find Your Voice

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

It’s that time again! We are excited to open up our kindergarten registration for the 23-24 school year. This is an online registration. You can use the link at the top of this page.

Requirements for registration are:

  • Child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2023

  • Child's birth certificate

  • Immunization Records

All required documents can be uploaded online or brought into the office. Kindergarten screeners will be scheduled for the last week of school, May 24 and 25. Parents will be asked for their preference of all day or half day at this time. If your child has received speech services through the school, please contact the office for a registration link instead of using the new student registration link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school. Thank you

BUILDING BEGINS!

Great News- We are ready to begin the building process for the new school. This is very exciting but does mean that there will be a few changes that we need to prepare for. A fence is being placed around the front of the school. There will no longer be access to the tennis courts, bus loop, parking lot, or playground. All changes will begin on Monday, April 17th. Please take a look at the changes listed below and as always, please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you.

  • Parent AM Drop-off: Students will need to be dropped off on the east side of the building. Please do not pull up in between the cones as this will be the bus drop off point.

  • AM Kinder Pick-up: Students will be picked up on the east side of the building. Please pull up to the cone and line up in your vehicles along the side of the road. The students will come out with staff and get into the vehicle from the sidewalk.

  • PM Parent Pick-up: Students will be picked up on the east side of the building. Please pull up to the cone and line up in your vehicles along the side of the road. The students will come out with staff and get into the vehicle from the sidewalk.

  • PM Bus Pick-up: Buses will line up along the street on the west side of the building. Students will exit the school from the hallway in between the computer lab and maintenance shop. This will bring them out through Pioneer Park. The students will walk along the sidewalk until they get to their bus.

  • ASP Pick-up: Students will exit from the east side of the building. Please do not pull up in between the cones as this will be the bus pick-up point.

  • Recess- All recesses, including before school, will be held on the back field.

  • Front office access: Although the fence will go around the front of the building there will still be access to the office. You will need to park on the east side of the building and then walk alongside the building to the front doors.

  • Parking: Parents- street parking on the east of the building. Please be aware of pick-up times so you don’t get blocked in by the pick-up line
