The Oneida School District is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dallan Rupp as the new superintendent. Mr. Rupp brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and a profound belief in the power of education to his new role. We are excited to see the positive impact he will continue to have on our community. He has currently been working as the Malad High School Principal.
Mr. Rupp's journey into education was inspired by the high school teachers who made a significant difference in his life. Their care and dedication made the profession appealing to him, as he saw firsthand the profound impact teachers can have on their students' lives. This inspiration led him to pursue a career where he could make a similar difference.
Mr. Rupp holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Boise State University, a Master of Science in Education with an emphasis on Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment from Walden University, and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. He is also committed to furthering his education and is working towards another Master of Science in Educational Leadership with an emphasis as a Superintendent/Education Specialist.
Mr. Rupp firmly believes in the potential of the educational system in the United States to provide opportunities for improvement and growth. His philosophy centers on the idea that every student deserves a free and equitable education and has the opportunity to choose their future path. He is dedicated to doing everything possible to help students achieve their goals, ensuring that the educational environment is supportive and inclusive. This includes career-based education as well as attending college to receive an associate degree, bachelor's degree, or further.
His vision for the Oneida School District is to help all students succeed. He is committed to fostering an environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. His goal is to see students grow into successful adults equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in life.
Mr. Rupp has a rich history of working with students, helping them achieve success, and watching them grow into accomplished adults. His most rewarding experiences have been in coaching and teaching students. Before coming to Malad, he taught high school for ten years in New Plymouth, Idaho. He has spent the last two years in Malad and has loved the strong sense of community in Malad and wants to continue to instill that in all students within the school district.
Mr. Rupp places a strong emphasis on communication with parents and the community. He believes that parents have the primary responsibility for their children's education and that open communication between teachers and parents is crucial. He is committed to working together with parents and community members to support students in all facets of their development, both educationally and emotionally.
Mr. Rupp already has a deep love for Malad and feels incredibly blessed to be a part of this community. Since moving here, he and his family have experienced the warmth and support of the residents. His long-term goals include continuing to serve and help the community, ensuring that Malad remains a great place for students, parents, and educators.
The Oneida School District is confident that Mr. Rupp will lead with passion, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. We look forward to a bright future under his leadership. Congratulations, Mr. Rupp. He will begin on July 1, 2025, replacing current Superintendent Jon Abrams, who will retire.
